Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Great salad bar best soup ever, dirty dirty restaurant. Price good.

Appears to be a low-class dive offering cheap gut-rot, but it is, in fact, heaven on earth. So cheap, it boggles my mind, both beer and their all you can eat buffets. The truly surprising part is they use honest-to-god real ingredients. I've never felt anything other than deliriously full after consuming mountains of their pizza. Their soup may look like a nuclear cheese bomb, and their salad bar is basic but adequate, but the pizza... my GOD, the pizza... I have special dreams about that pizza buffet. I have seen the place nearly riot because the kitchen couldn't keep up with the ravenous demands of a dining room full of professional over-consumers. So sometimes you get a show with your pizza too. Arcade games from mid-1990's, still only 25 cents to play. The place is my Chippewa Valley food Mecca. Love you, Pizza del Rey. Never change.

I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza buffet and salad bar. The pizza is thin and flakey and the salad bar had all of the basics. I arrived right at 11:05 so everything was fresh and ready to go. Our server (I think was also the owner) was nice and quick. Something small but nice, was being able to get Mountain Dew in a can since I'm not the biggest mellow yellow fan. I'll be going back. (4 stars simply because the establishment needs some updating)

Good pizza. I really like the buffet here. It may not be the "classiest" place, or even close actually. . . but I'll keep going back for what is probably the cheapest buffet in Eau Claire and still has great pizza and garlic bread is very good.

This is the best pizza place in Eau Claire. Ive been coming here since I was very young. Nice salad bar that comes with the buffet. Soup also. They are always coming out with a variety of fresh pizzas. The cheese garlic bread is DELICIOUS. Give it a try!

I've been going to Pizza Del Re my whole life, so I might be a little biased about this place. Don't let the looks of this place fool you, the food is great! They have wonderful thin crust pizza which is nicely complimented by they're salad bar ( awesome homemade ranch dressing! ) and delicious creamy soups. I love that they're always trying out new pizza combinations in the buffet- it's not just plain boring toppings. This will always be one of my favorite pizza places.

Tried this place per recommendation and was not disappointed! Very, very delicious. Delivery was fast, prices are very reasonable, and the cheese bread was mouth watering! Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

$4.50 for lunch $5.50 for dinner plus drink Pizzas are all thin crust and good for the price. One thing that would be nice is if they label what's on the pizza. Another flaw is sometimes there isn't much up there and when they do bring out a fresh pizza it's every man for themselves up there. Typical salad bar, gotta love the tub of chocolate pudding. :D Garlic cheese bread is good but you might have to wait for them to bring it out and fight for it! Overall great for the price

Pizza buffet is where it is at, make sure you are aware of the operational time of the buffet before you go. Pizza buffet includes, salad bar, soup of the day (homemade), and a drink for under $9 a person $5.50 for a pitcher of beer! Bonus for sure :) The pizza is mostly thin crust, the wheat is better than any other wheat I have had, and does not even taste like a wheat crust (in a good way) every once in a while a hand tossed will show up on the buffet. There are random toppings so if you like variety you will get a this at the buffet. There is also garlic bread or cheesy garlic bread. Soup is usually a solid good recipe, so far I have seen, beer cheese, corn chowder, and broccoli and cheddar. Desert is usually a pancake and icing treat Table pizzas (non buffet), pasta including lasagna, and other various items are avail per individual fresh order. I have a relatively high tolerance for lasagna, most of the times as long as there is noodles sauce and cheese, I am pretty happy. The lasagna here is the only thing I have had from here that was displeasing, it was presented as seemingly a mounded pile of tomato and ricotta cheese with one texture and taste all the way through. I can get marginally better lasagna at Fazoli's, that is rectangular in shape and has more than two pieces of properly cooked noodles separating the layers. This would be a solid four Star review it is was not for this. Friendly staff, who is always welcoming and willing to suggest, and are honest. When the information about the lasagna was presented it seems that to the wait staff it is known that the lasagna is sub par. It may be a descent idea to look into this or remove the item from the menu please.

Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building, this place has very good pizza (thin crust). They offer a daily lunch and dinner buffet (will take requests) and are often very busy.

Other then my sister and brother-in-law's place, this is my favorite pizza anywhere. So Damn Good!!! The buffet is great also.

Excellent service by the red headed girl! Give her a raise! Great salad bar and pizza bar. I love thin crust so this is where it's at! Good music on stereo as well had some pearl jam and jimmi hendrix going on!

Cheapest buffet in Eau Claire. It's a really cool building, kept clean despite the fact that they haven't updated the facility since it was built (some 30 odd years ago). They have good pizza, a decent sized salad bar, a desert plate, garlic bread, and a soup of the day. You can also request that they make a pizza and they will place it in the buffet line. Prices are, as I said cheap. They even have a few arcade machines. I had to dock them a star because it's not the biggest buffet in the world, it can be really packed sometimes. Still, I recommend trying the place, especially if you have kids.

Great thin crust pizza for a great price! Good buffet! One thing many people may not know is you can buy the uncooked pizza and take it home and bake or freeze for later.

  • Nate S.

Good pizza, especially for the price. The pizza, soup and salad bar is also really good and is the primary draw for this place. VERY casual atmosphere, but the food makes up for it.

  • Ingrid W.

The place doesn't look the best, but the pizza was delicious. It is served buffet style, so you can just walk up and grab different kinds. The cheese bread was my favorite. There is a lot of seating. The place was packed on a Friday night, but there was always somewhere to sit. Went with the kids and they ate a ton. Will definitely come back next time!

  • Tyler L.

Hole in the wall pizza buffet. Hands down the best pizza in the area if you like thin crust pizza. The building is not the nicest but the food is delicious. Only reason I have them 4 stars is they are very slow to put out new pizzas. They eventually fill the buffet but they are slow about it. Can be very irritating when the restaurant is packed. Give it a try. ...
